पर्वानुक्रमणी पूर्वं दवितीयं पर्व संग्रहः पौष्यं पौलॊमम आस्तीकम आदिवंशावतारणम ॥ १-२-३४ ॥
'The first parva is called Anukramanika; the second, Sangraha; then Paushya; then Pauloma; the Astika; then Adivansavatarana. Then comes the Sambhava of wonderful and thrilling incidents.'॥ 1-2-34 ॥
