शलॊकाश च सप्ततिः परॊक्ता यथावद अभिसंख्यया सौप्तिकैषीक संबन्धे पर्वण्य अमितबुद्धिना ।। १-२-१९० ।।

'Seventy verses have been appropriately spoken, counting them accurately, in the Souptika Parva, pertaining to the inexhaustibly intelligent connection with the Parva. This Parva has been put about great Rishi the two Parvas called Sauptika and Aishika.' ।। 1-2-190 ।।

english translation

zalòkAza ca saptatiH paròktA yathAvada abhisaMkhyayA sauptikaiSIka saMbandhe parvaNya amitabuddhinA || 1-2-190 ||
