तीक्ष्णाङ्कुश शतघ्नीभिर यन्त्रजालैश च शॊभितम आयसैश च महाचक्रैः शुशुभे तत पुरॊत्तमम ।। १-१९९-३३ ।।

sanskrit

'On the battlements, there were thousands of sharp hooks, Sataghnis (machines capable of slaying a hundred warriors), and numerous other formidable machines. There were also large iron wheels planted on them. And with all these was that foremost of cities adorned.' ।। 1-199-33 ।।

english translation

tIkSNAGkuza zataghnIbhira yantrajAlaiza ca zòbhitama Ayasaiza ca mahAcakraiH zuzubhe tata puròttamama || 1-199-33 ||
