महानदीभिर बह्वीभिः सपर्धयेव सहस्रशः अभिसार्यमाणम अनिशं ददृशाते महार्णवम ॥ १-१९-१५ ॥

'It offers water as sacrificial butter to the blazing fire issuing from the mouth of Varava (the Ocean-mare). It is fathomless and unlimited, vast and immeasurable, and the lord of rivers.' ॥ 1-19-15 ॥

english translation

mahAnadIbhira bahvIbhiH sapardhayeva sahasrazaH abhisAryamANama anizaM dadRzAte mahArNavama ॥ 1-19-15 ॥
