इदं धनुर लक्ष्यम इमे च बाणाः; शृण्वन्तु मे पार्थिवाः सर्व एव यन्त्रच छिद्रेणाभ्यतिक्रम्य लक्ष्यं; समर्पयध्वं खगमैर दशार्धैः ।। १-१७६-३४ ।।

sanskrit

'Hear, assembled kings: this is the bow, that is the target, and these are the arrows. Shoot the target through the aperture of the machine with these five sharpened arrows.' ।। 1-176-34 ।।

english translation

idaM dhanura lakSyama ime ca bANAH; zRNvantu me pArthivAH sarva eva yantraca chidreNAbhyatikramya lakSyaM; samarpayadhvaM khagamaira dazArdhaiH || 1-176-34 ||
