सामरैर हि यदा लॊकैर भृगूणां कषत्रियाधमैः आगर्भॊत्सादनं कषान्तं तदा मां मन्युर आविषत ।। १-१७१-६ ।।

'O Pitris, when those despicable Kshatriyas started exterminating the Bhrigus, including the unborn children of our lineage, it was then that wrath filled my soul.' ।। 1-171-6 ।।

sAmaraira hi yadA lòkaira bhRgUNAM kaSatriyAdhamaiH AgarbhòtsAdanaM kaSAntaM tadA mAM manyura AviSata || 1-171-6 ||

'My mother and the other women of our lineage, all in advanced stages of pregnancy, and my father, greatly alarmed, found not a single protector in all the worlds.' ।। 1-171-7 ।।

'If there were a punisher of crimes in the worlds, no one would dare to commit a crime; if there is no punisher found, the number of sinners becomes large.' ।। 1-171-9 ।।

'The person who has the power to prevent or punish sin, but does not do so despite knowing that a sin has been committed, becomes tainted by that sin.' ।। 1-171-10 ।।
