चक्रे चात्मविनाशाय बुद्धिं स मुनिसत्तमः न तव एव कुशिकॊच्छेदं मेने मतिमतां वरः ॥ १-१६६-४० ॥
'That foremost of sages, the pinnacle of wisdom, chose to sacrifice his own life rather than eradicate the lineage of Kusikas in a fit of anger.' ॥ 1-166-40 ॥
