वयायामकर्शितः सॊ ऽथ मृगलिप्सुः पिपासितः आजगाम नरश्रेष्ठ वसिष्ठस्याश्रमं परति ॥ १-१६५-६ ॥
'Drawn by fatigue from the hunt and parched with thirst, the noblest among men then arrived at the hermitage of Vasishtha.' ॥ 1-165-6 ॥
english translation
तम आगतम अभिप्रेक्ष्य वसिष्ठः शरेष्ठभाग ऋषिः विश्वामित्रं नरश्रेष्ठं परतिजग्राह पूजया ॥ १-१६५-७ ॥
'Arriving in such a state at Vasishtha's hermitage, the blessed and illustrious sage, upon beholding him, paid homage to that best of men, King Viswamitra.' ॥ 1-165-7 ॥
english translation
पाद्यार्घ्याचमनीयेन सवागतेन च भारत तथैव परतिजग्राह वन्येन हविषा तथा ॥ १-१६५-८ ॥
'With water for washing the feet, offering of water for sipping, and with a warm welcome, O Bharata, Vasishtha greeted him in the same manner, accepting him with wild rice.' ॥ 1-165-8 ॥
english translation
तस्याथ कामधुग धेनुर वसिष्ठस्य महात्मनः उक्ता कामान परयच्छेति सा कामान दुदुहे ततः ॥ १-१६५-९ ॥
'That divine cow, the wish-fulfilling cow of the great soul Vasishtha, was commanded to fulfill desires, and she indeed fulfilled those desires thereafter.' ॥ 1-165-9 ॥

गराम्यारण्या ओषधीश च दुदुहे पय एव च षड्रसं चामृतरसं रसायनम अनुत्तमम ॥ १-१६५-१० ॥
'When commanded with the words "O give," she unfailingly produced the desired item. She provided various fruits and grains, whether wild or cultivated in gardens and fields, as well as milk and numerous excellent nourishing foods rich in the six different tastes.' ॥ 1-165-10 ॥
