कशा दण्डप्रतिहता काल्यमाना ततस ततः हम्भायमाना कल्याणी वसिष्ठस्याथ नन्दिनी ॥ १-१६५-२२ ॥

'He attempted to take her away, inflicting stripes and subjecting her to other forms of persecution. The innocent Nandini then began to low pitifully, O Partha, and approached the illustrious Vasishtha, standing before him with an uplifted face.' ॥ 1-165-22 ॥
