[विष्वामित्र] कषत्रियॊ ऽहं भवान विप्रस तपःस्वाध्यायसाधनः बराह्मणेषु कुतॊ वीर्यं परशान्तेषु धृतात्मसु ॥ १-१६५-१८ ॥
'I cannot exchange Nandini even for your kingdom," Vasishtha responded. Viswamitra then replied, "I am a Kshatriya, but you are a Brahmana dedicated to asceticism and study. Is there any strength in Brahmanas who are peaceful and have complete control over their souls?"' ॥ 1-165-18 ॥
