ताम अथ परत्युवाचेदम ईशानॊ वदतां वरः पञ्च ते पतयॊ भद्रे भविष्यन्तीति शंकरः ॥ १-१५७-११ ॥
'Then the supreme lord, Mahadeva, the foremost of all speakers, replied to her, saying, 'O blessed one, you shall have five husbands from among the Bharata princes.' ॥ 1-157-11 ॥
english translation
परतिब्रुवन्तीम एकं मे पतिं देहीति शंकरम पुनर एवाब्रवीद देव इदं वचनम उत्तमम ॥ १-१५७-१२ ॥
'Again addressing Mahadeva, she said, "Grant me one husband who will belong only to me." Then, she repeated this excellent request to the god.' ॥ 1-157-12 ॥
english translation
पञ्चकृत्वस तवया उक्तः पतिं देहीत्य अहं पुनः देहम अन्यं गतायास ते यथॊक्तं तद भविष्यति ॥ १-१५७-१३ ॥
'The deity then spoke to her once more with these excellent words: "O maiden, you have requested five times for a husband. Therefore, in another life, you shall have five husbands."' ॥ 1-157-13 ॥

दरुपदस्य कुले जाता कन्या सा देवरूपिणी निर्दिष्टा भवता पत्नी कृष्णा पार्षत्य अनिन्दिता ॥ १-१५७-१४ ॥
'Princes of the Bharata lineage, that maiden of celestial beauty has been born in the lineage of Drupada. The faultless Krishna of Prishata's lineage has been destined to be the wife of you all.' ॥ 1-157-14 ॥

पाञ्चाल नगरं तस्मात परविशध्वं महाबलाः सुखिनस ताम अनुप्राप्य भविष्यथ न संशयः ॥ १-१५७-१५ ॥
'Mighty ones, therefore proceed to the capital of the Panchalas and reside there. Without a doubt, having obtained her as your wife, you shall be very happy.' ॥ 1-157-15 ॥
