काञ्चनाभरणं चित्रं देवगन्धर्वसेवितम अप्रमेयम अनाधृष्यम अधर्मबहुलैर जनैः ॥ १-१५-६ ॥
'Decked with gold and exceedingly beautiful, that mountain is the haunt of the gods and the Gandharvas. It is immeasurable and unapproachable by men of manifold sins.' ॥ 1-15-6 ॥
english translation
kAJcanAbharaNaM citraM devagandharvasevitama aprameyama anAdhRSyama adharmabahulaira janaiH ॥ 1-15-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवयालैर आचरितं घॊरैर दिव्यौषधिविदीपितम नाकम आवृत्य तिष्ठन्तम उच्छ्रयेण महागिरिम ॥ १-१५-७ ॥
'Dreadful beasts of prey wander over its breasts, and it is illuminated by many divine life-giving herbs. It stands kissing the heavens by its height and is the first of mountains ' ॥ 1-15-7 ॥

vayAlaira AcaritaM ghòraira divyauSadhividIpitama nAkama AvRtya tiSThantama ucchrayeNa mahAgirima ॥ 1-15-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअगम्यं मनसाप्य अन्यैर नदी वृक्षसमन्वितम नाना पतगसंघैश च नादितं सुमनॊहरैः ॥ १-१५-७ ॥
'Ordinary people cannot even think of ascending it. It is graced with trees and streams, and resounds with the charming melody of winged choirs.' ॥ 1-15-8 ॥

agamyaM manasApya anyaira nadI vRkSasamanvitama nAnA patagasaMghaiza ca nAditaM sumanòharaiH ॥ 1-15-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्य पृष्ठम उपारुह्य बहुरत्नाचितं शुभम अनन्त कल्पम उद्विद्धं सुराः सर्वे महौजसः ॥ १-१५-९ ॥
'Rising with a multitude of divine jewels adorning its back, the resplendent and boundless mountain captured the awe of all the gods.' ॥ 1-15-9 ॥

tasya pRSThama upAruhya bahuratnAcitaM zubhama ananta kalpama udviddhaM surAH sarve mahaujasaH ॥ 1-15-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptते मन्त्रयितुम आरब्धास तत्रासीना दिवौकसः अमृतार्थे समागम्य तपॊ नियमसंस्थिताः ॥ १-१५-१० ॥
'Seated in the celestial assembly, those divinely illuminated beings commenced deliberating on the means to attain the nectar, abiding by the principles of asceticism.' ॥ 1-15-10 ॥

te mantrayituma ArabdhAsa tatrAsInA divaukasaH amRtArthe samAgamya tapò niyamasaMsthitAH ॥ 1-15-10 ॥
