[ष] कथं तद अमृतं देवैर मथितं कव च शंस मे यत्र जज्ञे महावीर्यः सॊ ऽशवराजॊ महाद्युतिः ।। १-१५-४ ।।

sanskrit

'Saunaka asked, 'Why did the gods churn the Ocean for nectar, and under what circumstances and when as you say, did that best of steeds so powerful and resplendent spring?' ।। 1-15-4 ।।

english translation

[Sa] kathaM tada amRtaM devaira mathitaM kava ca zaMsa me yatra jajJe mahAvIryaH sò 'zavarAjò mahAdyutiH || 1-15-4 ||
