बरह्मवध्या परं पापं निष्कृतिर नात्र विद्यते अबुद्धिपूर्वं कृत्वापि शरेय आत्मवधॊ मम ।। १-१४९-७ ।।

sanskrit

'Killing a Brahmana is the gravest sin, with no expiation. I believe a reluctant sacrifice of myself is better than the reluctant sacrifice of a Brahmana. Blessed lady, sacrificing myself does not mean self-destruction for me.' ।। 1-149-7 ।।

english translation

barahmavadhyA paraM pApaM niSkRtira nAtra vidyate abuddhipUrvaM kRtvApi zareya Atmavadhò mama || 1-149-7 ||
