[कुन्ती] ममाप्य एषा मतिर बरह्मन विप्रा रक्ष्या इति सथिरा न चाप्य अनिष्टः पुत्रॊ मे यदि पुत्रशतं भवेत ॥ १-१४९-१३ ॥
'Kunti said, 'I too firmly believe, O Brahmana, in the duty to protect Brahmanas. As for myself, even if I had a hundred sons instead of the five I have, none would be less dear to me.'' ॥ 1-149-13 ॥
