एतद धि परमं नार्याः कार्यं लॊके सनातनम पराणान अपि परित्यज्य यद भर्तृहितम आचरेत ॥ १-१४६-४ ॥

'For it is the supreme, eternal duty of a woman in this world to act for the well-being of her husband, abandoning even her own life if necessary.' ॥ 1-146-4 ॥

etada dhi paramaM nAryAH kAryaM lòke sanAtanama parANAna api parityajya yada bhartRhitama Acareta ॥ 1-146-4 ॥
