सवसारं वसुदेवस्य शत्रुसंघावमर्दिनः कुन्तिभॊजसुतां कुन्तीं सर्वलक्षणपूजिताम ॥ १-१३८-१६ ॥

'Kunti, the sister of Vasudeva, the destroyer of enemy hordes, the daughter of Kuntibhoja, and the one adorned with all auspicious qualities .' ॥ 1-138-16 ॥

सनुषां विचित्रवीर्यस्य भार्यां पाण्डॊर महात्मनः परासादशयनां नित्यं पुण्डरीकान्तर परभाम ॥ १-१३८-१७ ॥

'The daughter-in-law of the great-souled Pandu and wife of Vichitravirya, who always slept on palace beds, now radiates like the white lotus flower.' ॥ 1-138-17 ॥

सुकुमारतरां सत्रीणां महार्हशयनॊचिताम शयानां पश्यताद्येह पृथिव्याम अतथॊचिताम ॥ १-१३८-१८ ॥

'Radiant as lotus filaments, delicate and tender, worthy of the grandest bed, now lies she, as she should never, on the bare ground!' ॥ 1-138-18 ॥

'She who gave birth to these sons from Dharma, Indra, and Vayu, she lies today on the ground, exhausted, in a manner unfit for her.' ॥ 1-138-19 ॥
