तं च पापं न जानीमॊ यदि दग्धः पुरॊचनः कथं नु विप्रमुच्येम भयाद अस्माद अलक्षिताः ॥ १-१३७-२१ ॥
'We are uncertain whether that villain Purochana has been burnt to death or not.' ॥ 1-137-21 ॥

पुनर अस्मान उपादाय तथैव वरज भारत तवं हि नॊ बलवान एकॊ यथा सततगस तथा ॥ १-१३७-२२ ॥
'How can we evade these unseen dangers? O Bharata, lead us as you did before, carrying us on your shoulders. Among us, you alone possess the strength and swiftness of the wind.' ॥ 1-137-22 ॥

इत्य उक्तॊ धर्मराजेन भीमसेनॊ महाबलः आदाय कुन्तीं भरातॄंश च जगामाशु महाबलः ॥ १-१३७-२३ ॥
'Upon hearing Yudhishthira's words, the righteous Bhimasena swiftly carried Kunti and his brothers, proceeding with great speed.' ॥ 1-137-23 ॥
