[वै] ततः शिष्यान समानीय आचार्यार्थम अचॊदयत दरॊणः सर्वान अशेषेण दक्षिणार्थं महीपते ।। १-१२८-१ ।।

'Vaisampayana continued, "Observing that the Pandavas and the sons of Dhritarashtra were now skilled in the art of warfare, Drona decided that the time had come to request his preceptorial fee."' ।। 1-128-1 ।।

english translation

[vai] tataH ziSyAna samAnIya AcAryArthama acòdayata daròNaH sarvAna azeSeNa dakSiNArthaM mahIpate || 1-128-1 ||
