[क] अहं जयेष्ठा धर्मपत्नी जयेष्ठं धर्मफलं मम अवश्यं भाविनॊ भावान मा मां माद्रि निवर्तय ॥ १-११६-२३ ॥
'Kunti then declared, 'As the senior among his wedded wives, the principal religious merit rightfully belongs to me. Therefore, O Madri, do not hinder me from attaining what is rightfully mine.'' ॥ 1-116-23 ॥
