सिंहॊरस्कं गजस्कन्धम ऋषभाक्षं मनस्विनम पाण्डुं दृष्ट्वा नरव्याघ्रं वयस्मयन्त नरा भुवि ॥ १-१०५-६ ॥

'Upon seeing Pandu, who had the chest of a lion, shoulders like an elephant, eyes of a bull, and was courageous, men on Earth were filled with wonder.' ॥ 1-105-6 ॥
