तम अहं शापभीता च पितुर भीता च भारत वरैर असुलभैर उक्ता न परत्याख्यातुम उत्सहे ।। १-९९-९ ।।

'While I was ferrying him across the river, the sage, inflamed with desire, spoke to me in gentle tones. The fear of my father weighed heavily on my mind, yet the dread of the sage's potential curse took precedence. Securing a priceless boon from him left me with no choice but to acquiesce to his entreaties.' ।। 1-99-9 ।।
