परतीपस्य तरयः पुत्रा जज्ञिरे भरतर्षभ देवापिः शंतनुश चैव बाह्लीकश च महारथः ॥ १-८९-५२ ॥
'Among them, O king, were Pratipa, Dharmanetra, and Sunetra. Pratipa, distinguished among the three, became unparalleled on earth. O esteemed one of the Bharata lineage, Pratipa had three sons: Devapi, Santanu, and the valiant charioteer Valhika.' ॥ 1-89-52 ॥
