भरतस तिसृषु सत्रीषु नव पुत्रान अजीजनत नाभ्यनन्दन्त तान राजा नानुरूपा ममेत्य उत ।। १-८९-१७ ।।

sanskrit

'And Bharata begat upon his three wives nine sons in all. But none of them were like their father and so Bharata was not at all pleased with them.' ।। 1-89-17 ।।

english translation

bharatasa tisRSu satrISu nava putrAna ajIjanata nAbhyanandanta tAna rAjA nAnurUpA mametya uta || 1-89-17 ||
