कषुत्पिपासापरीताश च शरान्ताश च पतिता भुवि के चित तत्र नरव्याघ्रैर अभक्ष्यन्त बुभुक्षितैः ॥ १-६३-२२ ॥

sanskrit

'Tormented by hunger and thirst, and exhausted from the journey, some among them fell to the ground. There, they were devoured by other famished men, resembling tigers in their desperation.' ॥ 1-63-22 ॥

english translation

kaSutpipAsAparItAza ca zarAntAza ca patitA bhuvi ke cita tatra naravyAghraira abhakSyanta bubhukSitaiH ॥ 1-63-22 ॥
