दक्षस तव अजायताङ्गुष्ठाद दक्षिणाद भगवान ऋषिः बरह्मणः पृथिवीपाल पुत्रः पुत्रवतां वरः ॥ १-६०-९ ॥

sanskrit

'And, O protector of the Earth, the illustrious Rishi Daksha, of soul in complete peace, and of great asceticism, sprung from the right toe of Brahman.' ॥ 1-60-9 ॥

english translation

dakSasa tava ajAyatAGguSThAda dakSiNAda bhagavAna RSiH barahmaNaH pRthivIpAla putraH putravatAM varaH ॥ 1-60-9 ॥
