सॊमस्य तु सुतॊ वर्चा वर्चस्वी येन जायते मनॊहरायाः शिशिरः पराणॊ ऽथ रमणस तथा ॥ १-६०-२१ ॥
'Soma's resplendent son is Varchas, and upon his wife Manohara, Varchas begot three sons—Sisira and Ramana.' ॥ 1-60-21 ॥

अह्नः सुतः समृतॊ जयॊतिः शरमः शान्तस तथा मुनिः अग्नेः पुत्रः कुमारस तु शरीमाञ शरवणालयः ॥ १-६०-२२ ॥
'Aha had four sons—Jyotih, Sama, Santa, and Muni. Kumara, the handsome son of Agni, came into existence in a forest of reeds.' ॥ 1-60-22 ॥

तस्य शाखॊ विशाखश च नैगमेशश च पृष्ठजः कृत्तिकाभ्युपपत्तेश च कार्त्तिकेय इति समृतः ॥ १-६०-२३ ॥
'And, he is also called Kartikeya because he was reared by Krittika and others. His branches include Vishakha and Naigamesha from his back.' ॥ 1-60-23 ॥

अनिलस्य शिवा भार्या तस्याः पुत्रः पुरॊजवः अविज्ञात गतिश चैव दवौ पुत्राव अनिलस्य तु ॥ १-६०-२४ ॥
'And, after Kartikeya, there were born his three brothers Sakha, Visakha, Naigameya. And the wife of Anila is Siva, and Siva's son were Manojava and Avijnataagati. These two were the sons of Anila.' ॥ 1-60-24 ॥

परत्यूषस्य विदुः पुत्रम ऋषिं नाम्नाथ देवलम दवौ पुत्रौ देवलस्यापि कषमावन्तौ मनीषिणौ ॥ १-६०-२५ ॥
'Pratyusha's son is the sage known as Devala; Devala himself fathered two sons, renowned for their remarkable forbearance and profound intellect.' ॥ 1-60-25 ॥
