मरीचेः कश्यपः पुत्रः कश्यपात तु इमाः परजाः परजज्ञिरे महाभागा दक्ष कन्यास तरयॊदश ॥ १-५९-११ ॥
'Marichi's son is Kashyapa, and from Kashyapa have originated these beings. Thirteen daughters, blessed with great fortune, were born to Daksha, one of the Prajapatis.' ॥ 1-59-11 ॥
