'The illustrious Vyasa, the best among sages, and the giver of boons, along with Vaisampayana, compiled them separately, illuminating the essence of the Mahabharata.' ।। 1-57-75 ।।

english translation

parabhura variSThò varadò vaizampAyanama eva ca saMhitAsa taiH pRthaktvena bhAratasya parakAzitAH || 1-57-75 ||
