[ईन्द्र] न संकीर्येत धर्मॊ ऽयं पृथिव्यां पृथिवीपते तं पाहि धर्मॊ हि धृतः कृत्स्नं धारयते जगत ।। १-५७-५ ।।

sanskrit

'The gods spoke, "O ruler of the earth, ensure that virtue does not decline on the earthly realm! Safeguarded by you, virtue will reciprocate by protecting the entire universe."' ।। 1-57-5 ।।

english translation

[Indra] na saMkIryeta dharmò 'yaM pRthivyAM pRthivIpate taM pAhi dharmò hi dhRtaH kRtsnaM dhArayate jagata || 1-57-5 ||
