तेषाम अपरिमेयानि नामधेयानि सर्वशः न शक्यं परिसंख्यातुं वर्षाणाम अयुतैर अपि एते तु कीर्तिता मुख्या यैर आख्यानम इदं ततम ॥ १-५७-१०६ ॥
'The names of the innumerable hosts I am unable to recount even in ten thousand years. I have named, however, the principal ones who have been mentioned in this history.' ॥ 1-57-106 ॥
