या बभूवुः कथाश चित्रा येष्व अर्थेषु यथातथम तवत्त इच्छामहे शरॊतुं सौते तवं वै विचक्षणः ॥ १-५३-३० ॥

sanskrit

'Those narratives that became splendid and varied, conveying the meanings accurately, in which I am interested to listen to as you, O wise Sauti, are skilled in narrating.' ॥ 1-53-30 ॥

english translation

yA babhUvuH kathAza citrA yeSva artheSu yathAtathama tavatta icchAmahe zaròtuM saute tavaM vai vicakSaNaH ॥ 1-53-30 ॥
