तस्य तद वचनं शरुत्वा सप्तार्चिर दुःखितॊ भृशम भीतॊ ऽनृताच च शापाच च भृगॊर इत्य अब्रवीच छनैः ॥ १-५-२६ ॥
'Sauti continued, 'The Seven flamed god having heard these words of the Rakshasa became exceedingly distressed, being afraid of telling a falsehood and equally afraid of Bhrigu's curse.'॥ 1-5-26 ॥
