तस्मिन गर्भे संभृते ऽथ पुलॊमायां भृगूद्वह समये समशीलिन्यां धर्मपत्न्यां यशस्विनः ॥ १-५-१२ ॥

'On a certain day, while the virtuous and steadfast Puloma was pregnant, Bhrigu, the great adherent of righteousness, left her at home to perform his ablutions.' ॥ 1-5-12 ॥
