वपुष्टमा चापि वरं पतिं तदा; परतीतरूपं समवाप्य भूमिपम भावेन रामा रमयां बभूव वै; विहारकालेष्व अवरॊध सुन्दरी ।। १-४०-११ ।।

sanskrit

'Herself fairest of the fair, the damsel Vapushtama too, devoted to her lord and celebrated for her beauty having gained a desirable husband, pleased him by the excess of her affection during the period he spent in the pursuit of pleasure.' ।। 1-40-11 ।।

english translation

vapuSTamA cApi varaM patiM tadA; paratItarUpaM samavApya bhUmipama bhAvena rAmA ramayAM babhUva vai; vihArakAleSva avaròdha sundarI || 1-40-11 ||
