स एकं शिष्यम आरुणिं पाञ्चाल्यं परेषयाम आस गच्छ केदारखण्डं बधानेति ॥ १-३-२० ॥

sanskrit

'Ayoda-Dhaumya had three disciples, Upamanyu, Aruni, and Veda. And the Rishi bade one of these disciples, Aruni of Panchala, to go to the Kedar region and perform austerities.' ॥ 1-3-20 ॥

english translation

sa ekaM ziSyama AruNiM pAJcAlyaM pareSayAma Asa gaccha kedArakhaNDaM badhAneti ॥ 1-3-20 ॥
