तेनावकीर्णा रजसा देवा मॊहम उपागमन न चैनं ददृशुश छन्ना रजसामृत रक्षिणः ॥ १-१८-६ ॥
'And the immortals who guarded the amrita, blinded by that dust, could no longer see Garuda.' ॥ 1-28-6 ॥
english translation
एवं संलॊडयाम आस गरुडस तरिदिवालयम पक्षतुण्ड परहारैश च देवान स विददार ह ॥ १-१८-७ ॥
'Thus soaring, Garuda embraced the celestial abode, with his beak, talons, and fierce strikes, he effortlessly pierced through the realms of the gods.' ॥ 1-28-7 ॥
english translation
ततॊ देवः सहस्राक्षस तूर्णं वायुम अचॊदयत विक्षिपेमां रजॊ वृष्टिं तवैतत कर्म मारुत ॥ १-१८-८ ॥
'Upon that, the deity with a thousand eyes instructed Vayu, the god of wind, saying, 'Swiftly dissipate this dust shower. O Marut, this is indeed your responsibility.' ॥ 1-28-8 ॥
english translation
अथ वायुर अपॊवाह तद रजस तरसा बली ततॊ वितिमिरे जाते देवाः शकुनिम आर्दयन ॥ १-१८-९ ॥
'Then the mighty Vayu soon drove away that dust. And when the darkness had disappeared, the celestials attacked Garuda.' ॥ 1-28-9 ॥

ननाद चॊच्चैर बलवान महामेघरवः खगः वध्यमानः सुरगणैः सर्वभूतानि भीषयन उत्पपात महावीर्यः पक्षिराट परवीरहा ॥ १-१८-१० ॥
'And as he of great might was attacked by the gods, he began to roar aloud, like the great cloud that appeareth in the sky at the end of the Yuga, frightening every creature.' ॥ 1-28-10 ॥
