[सू] इत्य उक्तॊ गरुडः सर्पैर ततॊ मातरम अब्रवीत गच्छाम्य अमृतम आहर्तुं भक्ष्यम इच्छामि वेदितुम ॥ १-१४-१ ॥
'Sauti narrated, "Upon being addressed by the snakes, Garuda then spoke to his mother, expressing his intent, 'I shall embark on the quest for amrita, and on my journey, I wish to partake in some sustenance.'" ॥ 1-24-1 ॥
