तथाग्नौ ते परीत्ताश च तवया हि मम संनिधौ परतिश्रुतं तथा चेति जवलनेन महात्मना ॥ १-२२४-९ ॥

sanskrit

'Thus they were tested in fire by you, indeed, in my presence. And so it was promised by the great-souled Fire (Agni).' ॥ 1-224-9 ॥

english translation

tathAgnau te parIttAza ca tavayA hi mama saMnidhau paratizrutaM tathA ceti javalanena mahAtmanA ॥ 1-224-9 ॥
