गर्हितं मरणं नः सयाद आखुना खादता बिले शिष्टाद इष्टः परित्यागः शरीरस्य हुताशनात ॥ १-२२१-२१ ॥

sanskrit

'If we are devoured by the mouse in the hole, that death is certainly ignoble, whereas the destruction of the body in fire is deemed honorable by the wise.' ॥ 1-221-21 ॥

english translation

garhitaM maraNaM naH sayAda AkhunA khAdatA bile ziSTAda iSTaH parityAgaH zarIrasya hutAzanAta ॥ 1-221-21 ॥
