गर्हितं मरणं नः सयाद आखुना खादता बिले शिष्टाद इष्टः परित्यागः शरीरस्य हुताशनात ।। १-२२१-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'If we are devoured by the mouse in the hole, that death is certainly ignoble, whereas the destruction of the body in fire is deemed honorable by the wise.' ।। 1-221-21 ।।

english translation

garhitaM maraNaM naH sayAda AkhunA khAdatA bile ziSTAda iSTaH parityAgaH zarIrasya hutAzanAta || 1-221-21 ||
