[देवाह] ऋणिनॊ मानवा बरह्मञ जायन्ते येन तच छृणु करियाभिर बरह्मचर्येण परजया च न संशयः ।। १-२२०-११ ।।

sanskrit

'The celestials answered, "Hear, O Brahmana, about the acts and reasons that cause men to be born as debtors. Without a doubt, men are born debtors for the sake of religious rites, studies according to the ordinance, and progeny. These debts are discharged through sacrifices, asceticism, and offspring."' ।। 1-220-11 ।।

english translation

[devAha] RNinò mAnavA barahmaJa jAyante yena taca chRNu kariyAbhira barahmacaryeNa parajayA ca na saMzayaH || 1-220-11 ||
