अध्येतारं परं वेदाः परयॊक्तारं महाध्वराः रक्षितारं शुभं वर्णा लेभिरे तं जनाधिपम ।। १-२१४-५ ।।

sanskrit

'The subjects, having obtained Yudhishthira as their king, found in him a monarch devoted to the study of the Vedas, a performer of great sacrifices, and a protector of all virtuous people.' ।। 1-214-5 ।।

english translation

adhyetAraM paraM vedAH parayòktAraM mahAdhvarAH rakSitAraM zubhaM varNA lebhire taM janAdhipama || 1-214-5 ||
