जन्मप्रभृति कृष्णश च चक्रे तस्य करियाः शुभाः स चापि ववृधे बालः शुक्लपक्षे यथा शशी ॥ १-२१३-६४ ॥

'At his birth, Krishna performed the customary rites of infancy. The child grew up resembling the waxing Moon of the bright fortnight.' ॥ 1-213-64 ॥

janmaprabhRti kRSNaza ca cakre tasya kariyAH zubhAH sa cApi vavRdhe bAlaH zuklapakSe yathA zazI ॥ 1-213-64 ॥
