उचितश चैव संबन्धः सुभद्रा च यशस्विनी एष चापीदृशः पार्थः परसह्य हृतवान इति ॥ १-२१३-६ ॥
'This alliance is very fitting. Subhadra is a renowned maiden, and Partha himself is renowned as well. Perhaps considering all this, Arjuna took her away by force.' ॥ 1-213-6 ॥
english translation
ucitaza caiva saMbandhaH subhadrA ca yazasvinI eSa cApIdRzaH pArthaH parasahya hRtavAna iti ॥ 1-213-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभरतस्यान्वये जातं शंतनॊश च महात्मनः कुन्तिभॊजात्मजा पुत्रं कॊ बुभूषेत नार्जुनम ॥ १-२१३-७ ॥
'Who would not desire to have Arjuna as a friend, born in the lineage of Bharata and the renowned Santanu, and also the son of Kuntibhoja's daughter?' ॥ 1-213-7 ॥

bharatasyAnvaye jAtaM zaMtanòza ca mahAtmanaH kuntibhòjAtmajA putraM kò bubhUSeta nArjunama ॥ 1-213-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन च पश्यामि यः पार्थं विक्रमेण पराजयेत अपि सर्वेषु लॊकेषु सैन्द्र रुद्रेषु मारिष ॥ १-२१३-८ ॥
'I see no one who can defeat you on the battlefield, Arjuna. You already conquer all the mighty warriors.' ॥ 1-213-8 ॥

na ca pazyAmi yaH pArthaM vikrameNa parAjayeta api sarveSu lòkeSu saindra rudreSu mAriSa ॥ 1-213-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस च नाम रथस तादृङ मदीयास ते च वाजिनः यॊद्धा पार्थश च शीघ्रास्त्राः कॊ नु तेन समॊ भवेत ॥ १-२१३-९ ॥
'Behold my magnificent chariot and these unparalleled steeds. With Arjuna, the unrivaled archer of swift arrows, as the warrior, who in all the worlds could hope to match such a combination?' ॥ 1-213-9 ॥

sa ca nAma rathasa tAdRGa madIyAsa te ca vAjinaH yòddhA pArthaza ca zIghrAstrAH kò nu tena samò bhaveta ॥ 1-213-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतम अनुद्रुत्य सान्त्वेन परमेण धनंजयम निवर्तयध्वं संहृष्टा ममैषा परमा मतिः ॥ १-२१३-१० ॥
'Arjuna, known for his prowess as a warrior and his skillful control, is unmatched. In my view, you should proceed joyfully after Dhananjaya, appease him, and bring him back.' ॥ 1-213-10 ॥

tama anudrutya sAntvena parameNa dhanaMjayama nivartayadhvaM saMhRSTA mamaiSA paramA matiH ॥ 1-213-10 ॥
