जन्तूपाख्यानम अत्रैव यत्र पुत्रेण सॊमकः पुत्रार्थम अयजद राजा लेभे पुत्रशतं च सः ॥ १-२-११९ ॥

sanskrit

' Then hath been described the history of king Mandhata; then the history of prince Jantu; and how king Somaka by offering up his only son (Jantu) in sacrifice obtained a hundred others.' ॥ 1-2-119 ॥

english translation

jantUpAkhyAnama atraiva yatra putreNa sòmakaH putrArthama ayajada rAjA lebhe putrazataM ca saH ॥ 1-2-119 ॥
