[वै] ततॊ ऽबरवीद वासुदेवॊ गमनं मम रॊचते यथा वा मन्यते राजा दरुपदः सर्वधर्मवित ॥ १-१९९-६ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, "Then Vasudeva said, 'I believe that the Pandavas should go. However, we should all abide by the opinion of King Drupada, who is well-versed in every rule of morality.'"' ॥ 1-199-6 ॥

[दरुपद] यथैव मन्यते वीरॊ दाशार्हः पुरुषॊत्तमः पराप्तकालं महाबाहुः सा बुद्धिर निश्चिता मम ॥ १-१९९-७ ॥
'Drupada then spoke, "I certainly agree with what this foremost of men thinks, considering the circumstances.' ॥ 1-199-7 ॥

'Just as the illustrious sons of Kunti are dear to me at this moment, so too are the sons of Pandu to Vasudeva, without a doubt.' ॥ 1-199-8 ॥

न तद धयायति कौन्तेयॊ धर्मपुत्रॊ युधिष्ठिरः यद एषां पुरुषव्याघ्रः शरेयॊ धयायति केशवः ॥ १-१९९-९ ॥
'Indeed, Kunti's son Yudhishthira does not seek the welfare of the Pandavas as earnestly as Kesava, that tiger among men.' ॥ 1-199-9 ॥

[वै] ततस ते समनुज्ञाता दरुपदेन महात्मना पाण्डवाश चैव कृष्णश च विदुरश च महामतिः ॥ १-१९९-१० ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, "Upon the command of the illustrious Drupada, the Pandavas, along with Krishna, Vidura, Krishna (the daughter of Drupada).' ॥ 1-199-10 ॥
