तद आदाय च लुब्धस्य लाभाल लॊभॊ वयवर्धत तथा हि सर्वम आदाय राज्यम अस्य जिहीर्षति ॥ १-१९६-२१ ॥

sanskrit

'Yet, instead of satisfying his avarice, these possessions only fueled his greed further. Having seized all that belonged to the king, he even coveted the throne itself.' ॥ 1-196-21 ॥

english translation

tada AdAya ca lubdhasya lAbhAla lòbhò vayavardhata tathA hi sarvama AdAya rAjyama asya jihIrSati ॥ 1-196-21 ॥
