यं पराप्य विजितात्मानं महात्मानं नराधिपाः इक्ष्वाकवॊ महीपाला लेभिरे पृथिवीम इमाम ॥ १-१६४-९ ॥

'Even the mighty kings, the protectors of men, who conquered great souls, the sovereigns of the Ikshvaku dynasty, obtained this earth after defeating him.' ॥ 1-164-9 ॥
