तपस्वी च महात्मा च वेदवेदाङ्गपारगः समः सर्वस्य लॊकस्य पितृमातृभयापहः ।। १-१३-३८ ।।

sanskrit

'Astika, the ascetic, was both a great sage and an austere practitioner, well-versed in the Vedas and their ancillary subjects. He was impartial and compassionate, relieving everyone from the fear of parents and mothers.'।। 1-13-38 ।।

english translation

tapasvI ca mahAtmA ca vedavedAGgapAragaH samaH sarvasya lòkasya pitRmAtRbhayApahaH || 1-13-38 ||
