जञातुम इच्छामहे बरह्मन कॊ भवान इह धिष्ठितः किमर्थं चैव नः शॊच्यान अनुकम्पितुम अर्हसि ॥ १-१३-१८ ॥

sanskrit

'We wish to know, O Brahmana, who you are and why you are stationed here. Why, indeed, should you feel compassion to grieve for us?'॥ 1-13-18 ॥

english translation

jaJAtuma icchAmahe barahmana kò bhavAna iha dhiSThitaH kimarthaM caiva naH zòcyAna anukampituma arhasi ॥ 1-13-18 ॥
